On a recent trip to London we went to see the Yoko Ono exhibition at Tate Modern.
I honestly didn’t know what to expect; I didn’t know much about her art at all.
Some of the pieces were weird, some of them incredibly moving and powerful. All of her art was thought provoking. Haunting even.
One of my favourite pieces was the wish tree.
You were invited to write your hopes and wishes on a label and tie it to the tree. As more labels were added the tree looked like it was covered in blossom. The wish-writers had collaborated to create something beautiful.
Even though times are hard and sometimes there seems to be a lot of unpleasantness in the world, all of the wishes I read were incredibly positive – for peace, love, friendship, health, happiness and the success of the writer as well as others.

It reminded me that, in life, we experience what we focus our attention on. If all you see is negativity and toxicity life will be hard. If you can see hopefulness and positivity, life will be easier.
So take a few moments and have a think about what you wish for yourself, or someone close to you. What can you do to make that wish come true?
