We tend to slip easily into habits of thought and behaviour. Brushing your teeth, making a cuppa or walking to the pub or local shop are all things we can do without really having to think about them.
Basically we create shortcuts that help us do things quickly and easily in familiar situations. So they can be really useful and make our lives easier.
But sometimes these shortcuts can cause us problems.

A simple example would be a fear of some sort, maybe spiders, flying, or public speaking.
Somewhere along the way we get into the habit of thinking we would be at risk physically or psychologically if we come across a spider, or fly somewhere, or we have to get up and talk in front of a group of people. So when we’re in these situations we may scream and panic, run away or just freeze. We’ll usually do anything we can to avoid feeling that terror and that may well cause us problems in everyday life if we decide not to do something because we might see a spider, or have to get on a plane or stand up in front of a room full of strangers.
BWRT can help you to quickly and easily change the way you think about and experience these things that cause you so much trouble. All you have to do is know how you would rather feel instead. Many of my clients feel better in just a few sessions.
